CURATION TEAM
Curation is the enduring resonance of artistic expression.

BAKU
I began my practice in traditional oil painting before transitioning into digital media. Over time, my work evolved toward a more minimal yet emotionally resonant style, where technique meets simplicity. Through this shift, I discovered a visual language that allowed me to explore quiet, intimate moments with precision and softness. I had the chance to work with painters, 3D artists and photographers from here (Canada) and elsewhere. Artists such as : Dirty Robot, Mc Monster, Archan Nair, Aeforia, Nikolas Tower, ANIMVS, Jf Lemay and others. I always been fascinated by the work of artists. I greatly appreciate the opportunity to take on the role of curator for Suburbs Gallery.

Dominique Lemire (AKNR)
Dominique has been helping build Suburbs Gallery alongside Baku since 2023, contributing to the gallery’s curation, design, and overall management. With a background in music, visual arts, graphic design, and marketing, he brings a multidisciplinary perspective to the gallery’s creative direction and day-to-day operations. He is also involved in the management of Baku’s visual arts career, supporting the development of projects, exhibitions, and artist relationships. Through Suburbs Gallery, Dominique is currently working closely with DirtyRobotWorks on the ongoing presentation of the 100 Jewels collection.

Ishika Guha
Ishika Guha is a self-taught abstract artist based in London. Her practice explores the dynamic interplay of colour, form, and emotion; balancing spontaneity with intention across traditional and digital media. Since 2021, she has minted her abstract works as NFTs and exhibited internationally in over 15 countries. In addition to her studio practice, Ishika serves as Contributing Editor at Suburbs Gallery. She writes in-depth editorial features on artists and supports the gallery’s mission to champion onchain and digital art. Since 2021, she has also been an active voice in the Web3 art community, hosting numerous Twitter/X Spaces focused on onchain art and mentoring emerging artists, while establishing a strong presence through her art blogs on contemporary artists.

Aeforia's Dad
Inspired by his son's achievements in the art world, Aeforia's Dad envisioned a hub for digital artworks during a time when NFTs were still very new. With the support of his wife and friends, he designed a unique digital gallery setup. At the end of 2023, AD retired from Suburbs Gallery, passing on the full curation responsibilities to Baku.
